Nicole Bauman of New Berlin Eisenhower, Taylor Gradinjan of Cudahy, and Jordyn Swan of Pewaukee lead the way as unanimous selection to the 2012 Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association Division 2 All-State Team.

Bauman helped the Lions to the Division 2 state title in 2010 and has Eisenhower back at state this year with a perfect 26-0 record. The 5-10 senior, a Wisconsin recruit, averages 17.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 5.2 assists, and 3 steals per contest. She shot 44% from behind the three-point line and 80% from the free throw line as the Lions claimed a fourth straight conference title.

Gradinjan is Cudahy's all-time leading scorer and helped the Packers to the best record in school history this season at 19-5. The 5-10 wing player averaged 17.6 points and 5.5 rebounds as a senior for head coach Adam Stranc.

Swan was very versatile for the Pirates this season, averaging 17.3 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals per game. In helping Pewaukee to three straight conference titles, Swan finished her career as the school's all-time leading scorer with 1,170 points.

The rest of the team consisted of:  Morgan Blumer, Milton; Hannah Eichler, Milton; Maya Jonas, Whitefish Bay; Tara Knapstein, New London; Allison LeClaire, Notre Dame; Sophie Lichte, Reedsburg; and Cady Roedl, Beaver Dam.

Bauman and Gradinjan repeated as unanimous selections, while Knapstein, Swan, and Roedl were also First Team picks last year.

Blumer recorded a double-double (11 points, 11 rebounds) in last year's D2 state semi-final and continued that momentum this year when she poured in 20.5 points per game for the Red Hawks. The 5-11 junior is starting to attract attention from multiple Division 1 colleges.

Eichler, who will walk-on at Green Bay, got better and better as the year went on and was a big reason the Blackhawks won 13 straight games late in the year before falling in a regional final. The late season run allowed them to claim a share of the North Shore title as the versatile 5-11 guard averaged 12 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3. 7 steals, and 3.8 rebounds per game.

Jonas caught people's eye last year as a freshman when she posted 13 points and 11 rebounds in the D2 state semi-final game, and continued her strong play this season. The 6-2 sophomore forward led the Blue Dukes in scoring at 12.2 points per game while playing an outstanding all-around game in helping the team to a share of the North Shore Conference crown.

Knapstein, a 5-10 senior, led the Bulldogs to a Division 2 state championship last season and has helped the team back to the state tournament this year with a perfect 26-0 record. She averages a team-best 14.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 3.4 steals per game as versatile forward.

LeClaire averaged less than 5 points per game as a freshman last season but is a break-out performer this season, averaging 17 points per game as the Tritons have advanced to the Division 2 state tournament. The 5-8 guard connects on 41.5% of her three-point attempts and shoots 57.2% from the field overall.

Lichte is a three-time First Team All-Conference choice in the Badger-North and one of the few players in the state to average a double-double with 12.3 points and 12.1 rebounds per game. The 6-0 forward has helped the Beavers to a 23-3 record and spot in the Division 2 state semi-finals.

Roedl, a 5-7 senior, was a steadying influence for the Golden Beavers this season as the team battled through injuries to several key players to win the Wisconsin Little Ten Conference title and advance to the sectional finals. She averaged 11.3 points per game and is one of the best passers in the state from her point guard spot.
