Baseball/Power Lifting: Four-year varsity letter winner in baseball for coach Troy Pride ... First-time four-year state qualifier in power lifting for coach John Kleinhans.

Favorite Sport: “I like football the best because I like the team-sport aspect of it. It relies on everybody being good and not just one person. Nothing beats going under the lights on Friday night.”

Best Part of High School Sports: “The bonds you create with your teammates. You become friends with kids who maybe you didn’t hang around with prior to becoming their teammate. It’s like having a second family.”

Best Advice from a High School Coach: “My favorite saying from my wrestling coach is, “You can’t hurt steel.” That was always good. He said told me Michael Jordan had his best game when he had the flu. So working hard even when you are tired is important.”

Most Memorable Moment in High School Sports: “My most memorable moment was setting the state record in the 4x100 relay and not five minutes later it was broken by another team. We beat the record by a good amount of time, but Brookfield Academy just crushed the record.”

Best Part of Playing Four Sports: “I never wanted to think back and say, “I wish I would have gone out for that sport.” I never have to worry about that. I also like the fact you can compete for multiple conference championships.”

Toughest Part of Playing Four Sports: “In the spring, it’s tough because you sometimes have to choose between baseball and track. I usually go by whatever game or meet is conference, but it does go a bit game by game.”

Favorite Opponents: “Blair-Taylor. It’s always been a huge rivalry for us. My first three years in football, we lost to Blair-Taylor. This year, the week we were getting ready to play them our starting right guard blew up his kneecap. He was my favorite guy to run behind, too. We started out well in the game, but it went downhill after that.”

Favorite College Team: Wisconsin Badgers.

Favorite Professional Teams: Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers.

Cumulative GPA: 3.70.

Toughest Individual You’ve Competed Against: “I’d say Travis Guenther from Blair-Taylor. We talk all the time so we are friendly toward each other, but he beat me in wrestling this season. He’s a running back for Blair-Taylor and I’m a running back for Whitehall so we do a lot of the same things.”

College Plans: “I plan to play football at UW-Eau Claire. I plan to pursue some type of engineering degree.”

Activities Outside of Sports: Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Spanish Club, Drama Club, National Honor Society, Future Farmers of America, Class Vice President.

I Find it Relaxing to: “Watch TV, swim and just hang out with my friends.”

Favorite TV show: “Colbert Report.”

Favorite Movie: “Talladega Nights.”

Favorite Musical Artists: “Jason Aldean, Bradley Gilbert, Josh Turner.”

Favorite Subject: Science.

Favorite Restaurant: Texas Road House in Eau Claire.

Favorite Websites: www.facebook.com, www.wissports.net.
