Black Hawk's Wellnitz gets her first DI offer

Jen Wellnitz, a junior-to-be at Black Hawk, continues to pour in achievements. 

Her freshman year she was an all-conference selection and played at the state tournament. She followed that up with a sophomore season where she was chosen as the Six Rivers Conference Player of the Year and WBCA 1st Team All-State after leading her team in scoring (14 PPG), rebounding (8.3 RPG), assists (4.9 APG) and steals (3.4 SPG).

Add a DIvison I offer to the list of achievements, Drake offered Jen after she had an outstanding summer playing for the Wisconsin Academy 16U team. She led the Wisconsin Academy to a 30-5 record and four tournament championships, including a National Title at the "Run for the Roses" National Championship in Lexington, KY. 

Jen is also receiving interest from Wisconsin, UW-Milwaukee, UW-Green Bay, Marquette, Creighton, Northern Illinois, Evansville, Youngstown State and others.

To go along with her basketball achievements, she is also a standout athlete in track, softball and volleyball.

Bullock commits to a DII

Being on a Menomonee Falls team that had a number of talented seniors a season ago, Amber Bullock was somewhat under the radar. While playing AAU for WBA Prestige this summer she showed college coaches she has the ability to play at the next level. 

Amber, a three-year starter at Menomonee Falls, impressed Division II school UW-Parkside enough for them to offer her a scholarship. She has accepted that scholarship and will join the UW-Parkside roster in the fall of 2013.

"She is an extremely hard worker, very coachable and the kind of player you want/need to keep on the the floor" states WBA Prestige coach Carol Busche. 

Last week, WBA Prestige teammate Lexi Weitzer verbally committed to play at UW-Green Bay.
