Athlete of the Week Aug. 27-Sept. 2: Scott Nicolai, Eau Claire Memorial

Scott Nicolai of Eau Claire Memorial boys soccer has been selected as the Army National Guard Athlete of the Week for the week of August 27 through September 2 following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. Nicolai beat out Kimberly Steif of Newman Catholic girls volleyball.
The Abes are currently 7-0-1 on the season. Nicolai has four goals so far this season, he scored the game winning goal against Eau Claire North in a 2-1 win, netted a goal in the Abes 2-0 victory over Hudson and scored a goal in the Abes 10-0 win over D.C. Everest last week.
Remember, the only way your favorite player can be named Army National Guard Athlete of the Week is to vote and spread the word. Look for next week's nominees to be posted Monday morning.
