Travis Bachlor of Lakeside Lutheran has been selected as the Week 5 WSN Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. Bachlor made one of the biggest momentum-changing plays you'll find all season as the Warriors won a battle of unbeatens against Lake Mills. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 5. A total of 3161 votes were cast as Bachelor edged Zach Sutton of Whitnall by just 31 votes, or about 1% of the total votes cast.

You would be hard-pressed to find a bigger momentum-changing play than the one produced by Bachler on Friday. Taking on fellow unbeaten and crosstown rival Lake Mills in a match-up of top five ranked Capitol-North teams, the host Warriors held a 7-0 lead in the first quarter. Lake Mills was driving and on the doorstep of tying the game. However, Bachler stepped in front of a Lake Mills pass and took it 101 yards the other way for a touchdown, aided by an outstanding block by Brennan Leis. Instead of potentially being a tie game, it was now 14-0 Lakeside, and they never looked back en route to a 28-7 win.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named WSN Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 6 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
