Dylan Hecker of Winneconne has been selected as the Week 6 WSN Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. Hecker made big plays throughout the game as the Wolves knocked off Fox Valley Lutheran. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 6. A total of 2044 votes were cast, with Hecker's 864 votes easily out-distancing the competition.

The Wolves took a big step towards qualifying for the playoffs after missing out last year, recording a 21-14 win over host Fox Valley Lutheran Friday night to move to 4-2 in the Eastern Valley Conference. The win makes Winneconne playoff-eligible but does not guarantee them a spot yet. Hecker ran for 235 yards and 3 touchdowns on 25 carries, and made big plays at big times of the game. His 71-yard score late in the fourth quarter provided the winning margin while his interception in the end zone sealed the victory in the final minute.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named WSN Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 7 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
