Athlete of the Week Oct. 29-Nov. 4: Megan Wadsworth, Catholic Central
Megan Wadsworth, Catholic Central girls volleyball, has been selected as this week's Army National Guard Athlete of the Week for the week of October 29 through November 4 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net.
There were a total of 2535 votes. Wadsworth finished with 982 while Jo-Leigh VerVelde, Oostburg girls volleyball, had 800 votes.
Catholic Central (38-9) claimed thier second consecutive Divison 4 WIAA Girls Volleyball Championship after defeating Newman Catholic 25-15, 25-18, 25-22 in the title match.
Wadsworth led the way with 13 kills and five blocks for the Hilltoppers in the title game. She also collected 15 kills in their Semifnal win over Luck.
