State Football FAQ 2012

Here's some general information and frequently asked questions about the WIAA State Football Tournament.  

When is the tournament and when are the games?  
The tournament is held this Thursday and Friday. Here is the game schedule:  

CHAMPIONSHIPS SCHEDULE:  

Thursday, Nov. 15
10 a.m.    Div. 7    Glenwood City (10-2) vs. Potosi (12-0) 
1 p.m.      Div. 6    Regis (12-0) vs. St. Mary’s Springs (12-0) 
4 p.m.      Div. 5    Amherst (12-0) vs. Lancaster (12-0)
7 p.m.      Div. 4    Somerset (11-1) vs. Big Foot (12-0) 
 
Friday, Nov. 16
10 a.m.    Div. 3    Waupaca (12-0) vs. Catholic Memorial (10-2) 
1 p.m.      Div. 2    Homestead (11-1) vs. Waunakee (12-0)     
4 p.m.      Div. 1    Arrowhead (12-0) vs. Sun Prairie (12-0)


Where is the state tournament held?  
All games of the State Football Tournament are held at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison. Click here for a map of the surrounding area. A seating chart and stadium diagram can be found here.

Where can I park?  
There are several parking ramps around the Stadium that will have special events parking available. The University will also run a shuttle from the Alliant Energy Center to Camp Randall Stadium; for more information visit here

How much are tickets and where can I get them?  
Tickets can be purchased the day of games at Camp Randall Stadium. Ticket prices for the event are $8 for adults per game, $15 for a day pass and $25 for a two-day pass. Admission for children 6-years old and under is $1 per game. 
  
What can I take into the game? 
Food, beverages, containers, large bags (over 8.5” x 11”), strollers, weapons, inflatables, noisemakers, and others are NOT allowed. Items that are allowed include diaper bags, umbrellas, blankets, jackets, medical items, chairbacks, binoculars, cameras, and bags smaller than 8.5” x 11”. Are the games on TV?  
Yes, all the championship games will be televised live on cable by FSN Wisconsin. Check local cable listings for the channel in your area. Also, FSN will air all WIAA?Fall State Tournament championship games throughout November and December. Check your local cable listings for the times and channel in your area. DirecTV lists the FSN feeds on channels 623 and 669/669HD. In addition, the finals of all seven divisions will be streamed live on the Internet on foxsportswisconsin.com.  UPDATE: The WIAA has now said that the games will NOT be streamed live online.

Are the games on the radio?
  
Yes, there are many radio stations that will carry the games. Check your local listings. Also, The Big 1070 out of Madison will be broadcasting all of the games live on the radio and live online as well.

Where can I eat?  
Camp Randall has concessions, but many fans choose to venture out between games or sessions. A number of fine eating establishments are within walking distance as well.
