The Division 6 title game was expected to be a clash of the titans, as Saint Mary's Springs and and Regis entered the contest undefeated and rarely challenged this year. Not surprisingly, it was a tight affair througout, but ultimately Springs held on for a 24-14 win.

Springs' second-straight Division 6 title, and fourth overall since joining WIAA in 2000, came despite allowing 325 rushing yards to Regis, with 200 in the first half alone. However, Regis fumbled on its first two possessions of the game, with Springs taking advantage of the first one to score on a short field via a 3-yard run by quarterback Evan Henderson.

Henderson hooked up with Eric Feldner for a 16-yard score early in the second quarter, but Regis answered back with two long scoring drives later in the period to tie it at 14.

Taking over with less than two minutes left in the half, Springs engineered a 13-play, 75-yard drive that was capped by a 7-yard strike from Henderson to Ryan Grandlic.

The teams went back and forth in the third quarter, but no one was able to gain an advantage. The score remained 21-14 into the fourth, when Springs' Mitch Herron connected on a 24-yard field goal.

Regis turned the ball over on downs inside of two minutes left and Springs took a series of knees for the 24-14 win.

Henderson was very efficient for the Ledgers, completing 14 of 18 passes for 144 yards and 2 touchdowns, while adding a rushing score as well.
