Catholic Memorial scored on it's first two drives and never looked back in pulling away from Waupaca for a convincing 42-7 victory in the Division 3 state title game.

After a juggling interception by Andre Bodden, Catholic Memorial went 76 yards in 6 plays, capped off by a 2-yard touchdown run from Matt Hubley to open the scoring in the first quarter.

Three minutes later they hit pay dirt again when Pat White hit Bodden on a slant, and the star receiver did the rest, taking it 77 yards to the house.

The score remained 14-0 until halftime, when Hubley took the first play of the second half for a weaving 70-yard touchdown run.

Waupaca finally got on the scoreboard on a 16-play, 76-yard drive caped by a nice throw-back pass from Sam Menzies to Nathan Nelson. It was as close as the Comets would get however.

In a span of less than four minutes, Catholic Memorial scored three touchdowns to put the game away, including a 10-yard interception return for a touchdown by Bodden, his third pick of the game.

It was a dominating performance all around for Catholic Memorial, who out-gained Waupaca 404 to 205. Hubley had 199 yards and 2 touchdowns on 19 carries, while White threw for 179 yards and 3 scores while completing 8 of 9 passes.

Andre Bodden may have been the player of the game however, catching 3 passes for 103 yards and 1 touchdown while adding 3 interceptions, including the Pick-6.
