Athlete of the Week Nov. 19-25: Mackenzie Latt, Sussex Hamilton
Mackenzie Latt, Sussex Hamilton girls basketball, has been selected as this week's Army National Guard Athlete of the Week for the week of November 19 through 25 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net.
There were a total of 2571 votes cast this week with Latt collecting 922. Morgan Anderson, De Pere girls basketball, finished second with 810 votes.
Sussex Hamilton (2-0) beat Pius XI 45-37 behind an impressive performance from Mackenzie Latt in the championship game of the Hank Raymonds Holiday Classic at Pius on Saturday. Latt scored 31 points and shot 14 for 18 from the field. The Chargers dropped Whitefish Bay on Friday in their first game of the tournament, Latt totaled 19 points in the 45-29 win.
