Athlete of the Week Nominees for Nov. 26-Dec. 2

Below are the nominees for th Army National Guard Athlete of the Week for the week of November 26 through December 2. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word.

Emily Gustafson, South Shore girls' basketball. Gustafson filled up the stat sheet on Tuesday night in the Cardinals 62-34 win over Chequamegon. Emily collected 18 points, 19 rebounds, 8 blocks, 6 assists and 2 steals. She also went over 1,000 career rebounds in the game and is now only 4 points shy of 1,000 career points. 

Allison Olley, Racine St. Catherine's girls' basketball. Olley averaged 18.7 points 14.7 rebounds and 2.3 blocks over the Angels' three games last week. Allison finished with 26 points and 17 rebounds in an 70-65 OT loss to Racine Park. The Angels' collected wins over Racine Case and Kenosha Bradford. Olley, a University Minnesota-Duluth volleyball recruit, didn't play basketball last season as she instead chose to play club volleyball.

Duane Wilson, Dominican boys' basketball. Wilson scored a career-high 44 points in a 81-71 win over Milwaukee Washington on Saturday. He connected on 6 three-point field goals and went 14 for 16 from the free-throw line. In the Knights' 74-64 win over Kenosha St. Joseph's on Friday, Wilson scored 18 points. 

Dakota Oskey, Seymour boys' basketball. Oskey scored 22 points, including the go-ahead three-pointer with two minutes left in the fourth quarter as the Thunder beat Bay Port 40-37 on Friday night. 

Jeremy Temprano, Madison Memorial boys' swimming. Temprano won four events in the Spartans dual win over Middleton on Friday. The four events Temprano won included: 200-yard medley relay (1:38.36), 200-yard individual medley (1:59.98), 100-yard backstroke (53.76), 400-yard free relay (3:17.01).
