Athlete of the Week January 21-27: Jacob Hildreth, Stockbridge

Jacob Hildreth, Stockbridge boys' basketball, has been selected as this week's Army National Guard Athlete of the Week for the week of January 21 through 27 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net.

The fans of this week's nominees did an excelent job of making their vote count, there were 5,841 votes cast. Hildreth finished with 2,575 votes while Sarah Redfearn, Benton/Shullsburg girls' basketball, finished second with 2,168. 

Hildreth, a 5-foot-11 senior, finished with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists in a 60-56 win over Sheboygan Christian.

He knocked down 5 treys and finished with 21 points and added 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks in a 64-50 win over St. Thomas Aquinas. Jacob also went over 1,000 career points in that game.

Hildreth totaled 17 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and a block in a 57-46 win over Oneida Nation. 

Stockbridge (9-9) has won 9 of their last 13 games after going winless in their first 5 games.
