Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN Senior Baseball Awards presented by Taco Bell.

The pre-season watch list has been trimmed down to five finalists. Winners are announced the week of the spring baseball state tournament.

WSN Senior Baseball Awards -- Pitcher Finalists:

Colyn Buss, Wisconsin Dells -- The Chiefs claimed the South Central Conference title behind an outstanding year from Buss. He finished the season with a 7-0 record and miniscule 0.18 ERA, allowing just one run in 38 innings while striking out 39.

Ryan Frieder, Bay Port -- Bay Port won the FRCC title by 5 games and spent most of the year as the #1 team in Division 1. In conference action, Frieder went a perfect 5-0 with a 1.06 ERA, striking out 33 in 33 innings. Was named Co-Player of the Year in the FRCC.

Mason Mergener, Coleman --  Mergener was an Honorable Mention All-State pitcher last year and should be in line for significant postseason honors once again. In the regular season he went 7-0 with a 1.25 ERA, striking out 52 in 43 innings.

Garett Phillips, Elk Mound -- Phillips has been one of the state's elite players for several years, with multiple no-hitters during his varsity career. This season he went 6-0 on the mound with a 1.33 ERA and 59 strikeouts in 42 innings.

Kevin Tibor, Kenosha Bradford -- Tibor earned Third Team All-State honors last season in helping the Red Devils to the state tournament. Full stats are not available for 2013 but he was outstanding once again, helping Bradford to the Southeast Conference crown while averaging better than a strikeout per inning and setting a school record for career wins.
