Favorite Sport: “Volleyball is my favorite mostly because my mom was my volleyball coach when I was little so I learned to play that first. She was able to teach me the game at a young age. She is the athletic director at SPASH so doesn’t have the time to coach volleyball, but she was the head coach at Green Bay Southwest, Winneconne and Pulaski.”
Best Part of High School Sports: “I would say working with your teammates and finding ways to cooperate. Non-student athletes don’t really get that type of experience and I think those experiences will come in handy once I get a job.”
Best Advice from a High School Coach: “My dad always says when things aren’t going your way and maybe some calls go against you to get better instead of being bitter. He stressed not letting things get to your head and instead be mentally tough about it.”
Memorable Moment in High School Sports: “I would say winning the state championship in softball my sophomore year. I was a designated hitter my freshman and sophomore seasons, a shortstop my junior season and then split time between short and third base this season.”
Best Part of Playing Three Sports: “Being a three-sport athlete allows you to be in really good shape. Playing three sports also allows you to become a better all-around athlete. I also enjoy all the games you get to compete in. It’s a great experience.”
Toughest Part of Playing Three Sports: “The schedule. All of the coaches seem to want to have open gyms when other sports are going on. It gets really busy with school and everything.”
