FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

WISCONSIN BASKETBALL COACHES ASSOCIATION TO CELBRATE MILESTONES

Wisconsin Dells, WI - The Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association will celebrate two key moments in their history on August 16th and 17th.

Over 100 years of high school basketball history has found a home with the opening of the WBCA Hall of Fame Museum at the JustAgame Fieldhouse in Wisconsin Dells.

The Hall of Fame Museum features inductees, scoring leaders, coaching leaders, one thousand point scorers, Mr & Miss Basketballs, jerseys from every team in the state and pennants for every state champion. The largest display of the exhibit is a history wall featuring some of the most impactful players, teams and stories in Wisconsin high school basketball history.

The other great milestone was reached this summer when they went over $2 million donated to the MACC Fund through the WBCA All-Star games that started in 1978.

To honor these achievements they will put on a two-day event at the JustAgame Fieldhouse.  It all starts on Friday at 7:30 when current professional basketball players who played high school ball in Wisconsin will take on an all-star team from the Closed Gym League in Milwaukee that features some of the best players in the area. Admission on Friday is $5 for adults and $2 for children.

On Saturday the festivities get started at 10:00 am with an All-Star Alumni game featuring women’s players that have competed in past WBCA All-Star games.

Next will be Bango and the Milwaukee Bucks Rim Rockers who will put on their high-flying trampoline dunking show for the crowd.

Following it will be the men’s turn, as they will also have an All-Star Alumni game featuring players that have participated in the WBCA’s signature event.

Wrapping things up will be a dedication ceremony emceed by Bucks announcer Jim Paschke and featuring representatives from the WBCA, Wisconsin Dells and the MACC Fund.

Admission for Saturday is $7 for adults and $4 for students and includes a cookout lunch. There will also be contests for kids, a silent auction and prize give-a-ways. Admission is free on Saturday for WBCA Members and former WBCA All-Star players.
