FOOTBALL
Offense

John Kelly, Senior (Chicago, Ill./Guerin Prep), Quarterback of UW-Platteville
Kelly tied a program record seven touchdown passes and threw for 442 yards, fourth most in school history in a 49-27 victory over UW-Eau Claire on Oct. 5.  He was 32-of-39 with 15 completions going 15-plus yards and a game-long 67 yards.

Defense
Cole Klotz, Senior (Elm Grove, Wis./New Berlin Eisenhower), Linebacker of UW-Whitewater
Klotz led the Warhawk defense with nine tackles, including four solo and five assisted in UW-Whitewater’s 47-3 win over UW-La Crosse in the WIAC opener for both teams on Oct. 5.  He added a tackle for a loss of a yard and was part of the Warhawk defense that forced a safety late in the game.

Special Teams
Clint Larsen, Sophomore (Eau Claire, Wis./Memorial), Wide Receiver/Returner of UW-Eau Claire
Larsen returned a kickoff for a touchdown in the third quarter against UW-Platteville on Oct. 5, to help put the Blugolds up 27-21.  He took the kick 98 yards, the Blugolds’ first kick return for a touchdown since Nov. 11, 1987, the longest in school history (previous long was 97 yards by Mike Zeihen in 1980), the third-longest in the NCAA Division III this season, and the sixth- longest in conference history.  Larsen also recorded three tackles on the special teams.
