Offense
Jake Kumerow, Junior (Bartlett, Ill./South Elgin), Wide Receiver of UW-Whitewater
Kumerow posted 226 yards receiving and grabbed three Matt Behrendt passes for touchdowns to lead the Warhawks to a 55-13 win over UW-Stout on Oct. 12. Kumerow caught 11 passes in the win for an average of 20.5 yards per reception. He accounted for 64 percent of UW-Whitewater’s passing offense. In the second quarter, Kumerow caught a 29-yard pass for his first touchdown of the game, and less than three minutes later, Behrendt found him again from 12 yards out giving UW-Whitewater a 27-7 lead. Kumerow’s third touchdown reception of the day, helped Behrendt break the Warhawk record for touchdown passes in a game.

Defense
Ryan Stefaniak, Senior (Milwaukee, Wis./Waukesha Catholic Memorial), Linebacker of UW-Oshkosh
Stefaniak recorded nine solo tackles and a sack, as UW-Oshkosh held UW-La Crosse out of the end zone during its 30-6 victory on Oct. 12. Stefaniak totaled 10 tackles, including three for loss. His second-quarter sack cost the Eagles eight yards. He then stopped runs for losses of five and two yards during the third period. The Titan defense held UW-La Crosse to 173 total yards and 2-of-14 conversions on third down. It was the Eagles’ lowest point total against UW-Oshkosh since 1932.

Nate Ray, Junior (Verona, Wis.), Kicker/Punter of UW-Oshkosh
Ray booted a career-long 42-yarder among his three field goals during UW-Oshkosh’s 30-6 win over UW-La Crosse on Oct. 12. During the first quarter, Ray made field goals of 25 and 22 yards to give the Titans a 6-0 lead. His 42-yard connection wrapped up the game’s scoring midway through the fourth period. Ray finished with 12 points after converting extra points in the first, third and fourth quarters.
