Athlete of the Week: Zack Baun, Brown Deer
Zack Baun of Brown Deer football has been selected as the Army National Guard Athlete of the Week for the week of October 21 through 27 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net.
Of the 1775 votes, Baun received 877. McKenna Symons of Markesan girls volleyball finished second with 357 votes.
Baun accounted for 9 touchdowns in their 61-42 win over Two Rivers in Level 1 of the WIAA Playoffs. He went 11-for-18 passing for 247 yards and 3 touchdowns, while also running the ball 29 times for 354 yards and 6 scores.
The Falcons host Greendale in Level 2 of the WIAA Playoffs on Friday night.
