Athlete of the Week Nominees, Oct. 28-Nov. 3

Below are the nominees for the Army National Guard Athlete of the Week for the week of October 28 through November 3. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word.

Jake Giordana, Hudson football, caught 8 passes for 186 yards and 3 touchdowns in the Raiders 38-22 win over Green Bay Preble in Level 2 of the WIAA Playoffs. 

Abby Jeffcoat, Racine St. Catherine's girls volleyball, compiled 19 kills to help the Angels knock off Oostburg, two-time defending Division 3 champions, in straight sets.

Molly Livingston, Sun Prairie girls volleyball, finished with 18 kills to lead the Cardinals to victory over Middleton in five games and secure a spot at the Division 1 State Tournament. 

Robert Quinlan, Ashland boys soccer, scored on a penalty kick in the 48th minute to help the Oredockers, making their first state appearance, defeat Notre Dame 1-0 and capture the Division 3 State Title. 

Nick Wavruk, Iola-Scandinavia football, accounted for 4 touchdowns in the Thunderbirds 46-27 win over Algoma in Level 2 of the WIAA Playoffs. He went 9-for-15 passing for 150 yards and 1 touchdown, along with caring the ball 18 times for 67 yards and 4 touchdowns.
