Athlete of the Week: Mark Saari, Hurley
Mark Saari of Hurley football has been selected as the Army National Guard Athlete of the Week for the week of November 4 through 10 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net.
Of the 6,325 total votes, Saari received 2,264 of them while Simone Lee of Menomonee Fall girls volleyball finished in second with 1,802 votes.
Saari finished with 22 carriers for 213 yards and 3 touchdowns in their 30-27 win over Webster in Level 3 of the WIAA Playoffs.
He also finished with 11 tackles in the win.
The Midgets play Shiocton in a State Semi-Final on Saturday.
