Athlete of the Week Nominees, February 3-9

Below are the Sport Ngin Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of February 3-9. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

Jared Fleischmann, Columbus Catholic boys basketball, scored a career-high 35 points in the Dons 68-53 win over Spencer on Saturday. He finished with 21 points in a 70-39 win over Granton and notched 17 points in a 65-35 victory against Colby. 

Jessica Kelliher, Waukesha North girls basketball, scored a school-record 37 points in the Northstars 69-56 win over Greendale on Tuesday. One day earlier, she scored the game-winning basket in a 49-47 win over Waukesha West and finished with 12 points. She also scored 8 points in a 42-32 win against Waukesha South on Friday. 

Charlie Noone, Lourdes Academy boys basketball, finished with a career-high 30 points in a 56-53 win over Markesan on Tuesday. He scored 19 points in a 63-57 win against Central Wisconsin Christian and scored 20 points in a 76-52 win over Montello. 

Mikayla Simmons, Alma Center Lincoln girls basketball, scored a career-high 39 points in the Hornets 58-53 overtime win against Blair-Taylor on Thursday. She also finished with 24 points in a 75-43 win against Coulee Region Christian on Tuesday. 

Michael Wilson, Fond du Lac boys hockey, helped the Cardinals to the Badgerland Tournament title on Saturday. He scored 2 goals and added 2 assists in an 8-1 win over Waupun on Tuesday, scored 2 goals in a 4-1 victory over Appleton United on Friday, and scored 2 goals and added an assist in their 5-0 win over St. Mary's Springs in the championship game.
