Wisconsin Sports Network is proud to showcase the WSN High School Basketball Awards.

The pre-season watch list was trimmed down to 15 semi-finalists, and five finalists for the award have now been selected. Winners are announced the week of the state tournament. Finalists are eligible for just one of the five awards. There will be a total of 25 finalists for the five awards, five different players for each award.

WSN Senior Boys Basketball Awards -- Post Finalists:

Isiah Daniels, Campbellsport – An aggressive interior player who averaged 20.4 points and 11.5 rebounds per game while leading Campbellsport to a 17-8 record. Daniels consistently utilized his 6-foot-6 height and physical strength to outmuscle opponents in the lane. He scored 20 or more points 11 times this season and went off for 33 in a three-point victory over Kettle Moraine Lutheran. A three-year varsity player who finished his prep career with more than 1,000 points.

Zack Goedeke, Valders – Missed more than a month of the regular season with an injury, but is back playing for a Valders squad that is 21-3 heading into its sectional semifinal against Roncalli. The 6-7 forward/post is averaging 14.0 ppg and can dominate on the glass, thanks to his athleticism and strength. Runs the floor very well and can make mid-range jump shots in addition to scoring on the low blocks.

Davante Jackson, Brown Deer – Athletic and long post player with excellent size (6-9) and developing skills, Jackson helped Brown Deer to the title in the Eastern Division of the Woodland Conference by averaging a team-best 15.5 ppg. His ability to rebound and block shots are also big assets for the Falcons, who took a 19-5 record into a sectional semifinal contest against East Troy.

Caleb Mortag, Brookfield Central – Mortag isn’t necessarily a true low-post player because he can step out and make perimeter shots. But he is also highly effective around the basket. His high-flying dunks are things of beauty, but it’s his length and ability to alter shots in the lane that make him such a positive influence for the No. 1-ranked Lancers.

Parker Weber, Aquinas – One of the toughest players to defend in the low post because of his 6-8 size and physical strength, Weber has a nose for the basket and converts a high percentage of shots in the lane. He almost always commands a double team because he can overpower opponents with his strength. The Minnesota State Moorhead recruit leads Aquinas in both scoring (16.5 ppg) and rebounding (11.2 rpg).
