Athlete of the Week Nominees, April 21-27

Below are the Sport Ngin Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of April 21 through April 27. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

Brenna Calder, Beaver Dam girls track and field, finished first in the 800 meter (2:14.31) and the 1600 meter (5:00.95). She also ran a leg of the winning 4x400 relay for the Golden Beavers. Brenna's marks in the 800 meter and 1600 meter are the best in the state this season. 

Logan Larsen, Tomah girls soccer, helped the Timberwolves to the Janesville Craig Invitational on Saturday. She 3 goals on the day, including both goals in their 2-1 win over Green Bay East. 

Abbey Long, Eau Claire North softball, compiled 17 strikeouts and went 4-for-6 with 2 home runs and 6 RBI in a pair of wins over Rice Lake, 10-3 and 12-4, on Friday. 

Ryan Send, Brookfield Academy boys track and field, finished first in the 100 meter dash and 200 meter dash at the Viking Invitational at Wisconsin Lutheran. His 22.04 time in the 200 is the best so far this year and his 10.95 is the third best mark this season across the state. 

Alec Treuthardt, Argyle baseball, tossed a no-hitter against Black Hawk on Monday. He struck out 12 and went 2-for-4 at the plate.
