Splash of the Week: Jefferson baseball

Jefferson baseball no-hit Whitewater in both games of their doubleheader on Friday. The Eagles are this week's PlayintheDells.com Splash of the Week

In the first game, Heath Renz tossed a 5-inning no-hitter in their 10-0 win. He struck out 13 of the 17 batters he faced and walked one. 

Jacob Nelson stuck out 8 and walked 5 in his no-hitter in the second game, the Eagles won that contest 6-0. 

Andy Brahler went 3-for-6 in the two games with 5 RBI in the doubleheader.

This is the third straight game that Jefferson has thrown a no-hitter. Nelson tossed a 6-inning no-no in their 10-0 win over McFarland on April 26. 

For the season, the duo of Nelson and Renz have combined for 5 no-hitters. 

Renz pitched a 5-inning perfect game against Clinton on April 8 and they combined to no-hit Marinette in 5-innings on April 5. 

Jefferson (12-1, 8-1) are ranked No. 3 in the Division 2 Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association Baseball Rankings.
