As part of the weekly preview I produce every Thursday showcasing the best games from around the state, I always highlight one contest as the Game of the Week. To expand on that, each week I'll post a poll where you -- the fans -- can vote for who you think will win the Game of the Week.

Week 3 Game of the Week:  Lancaster (2-0, 0-0; D5 #2) at Arcadia (2-0, 0-0; D5 #4) NC -- Friday, 7 pm
The SWC and Coulee played crossover games several years ago, and as part of slight realignment in the western part of the state this season, teams from the two conferences will play mandatory non-league contests in 2014 and beyond in Weeks 3 and 4. That sets the stage for this outstanding matchup pitting the three-time defending Division 5 runners-up Lancaster against last season's Coulee Conference champion Arcadia. So far this year in wins over Independence/Gilmanton and Whitehall, Arcadia has outscored its competition 108-0. Lancaster posted a 42-0 shutout of Fennimore in Week 1 followed by a 51-22 drubbing of larger Onalaska in Week 2. Both teams brought back talented skill position players this season, including quarterback Rob Hoesley and running back Lee Pronschinske at Arcadia, and quarterback Nate Tranel and running back Tyler Glass at Lancaster. The teams last met in Level 2 of the 2012 playoffs, as Lancaster scored a 46-8 victory in that matchup.
