Please note, divisional placement in our poll is based on our Enrollment Projections done earlier this year. Divisional placement in the WIAA playoffs is not determined until after the season and these projections can and will be different than the divisions at the end of the year. We have added an 8-Man Coaches Poll this season.

Division 1

It was no surprise in Division 1 as Kimberly once again holds the #1 position. Germantown's loss to Homestead dropped the Warhawks one spot to #3, as Bay Port moved up to #2. Muskego (#6), Janesville Craig (#7), and Appleton North (#10) all went down last week, with only Muskego barely hanging in the polls at #10. Marquette and Mukwonago move back into the rankings this week.

Division 2

Greendale and Menasha continue to be ranked 1st and 2nd in the Division 2 Coaches Poll, but Homestead's victory over Germantown last week vaulted the 1-loss Highlanders ahead of unbeaten South Milwaukee for the 3rd spot. Cedarburg makes the jump from 7th to 5th. No ranked teams lost last week, but there was plenty of movement towards the top, with spots 3 through 7 all different this week, albeit with the same teams.

Division 3

It is Wisconsin Lutheran on top of Division 3 once again, but Catholic Memorial's loss to Mukwonago drops the Crusaders from 2nd to 3rd behind West De Pere. Brown Deer drops out of the poll this week, to be replaced by Mosinee.

Division 4

For a division that has seen perhaps more ranked teams than any other this year, there was some relative stability in the polls for Week 8. Somerset is again on top, and besides a couple minor shuffles, the rest of the top nine remains the same. Southern Door went down in Week 8 to Roncalli and drop form the #10 spot, replaced this week by Little Chute, who is coming off a big win over Waupaca.

Division 5

Amherst continues to lead the way in Division 5, but it is very close in the voting once again between the Falcons, Stanley-Boyd, and Arcadia. Three unbeaten teams lost last week in D5:  Poynette went down to Lodi and dropped from 5th to 6th, Westby fell to Arcadia and moved from 6th to 7th, and Waterloo was knocked off by Marshall and dropped from 7th to out of the rankings. Bloomer makes a big jump from 8th to 5th, while Racine St. Catherine's is new to the poll this week in the #9 spot.

Division 6

It is Edgar and Saint Mary's Springs once again in the top two spots for Division 6, but Athens' win over D7 #1 Owen-Withee jumps them from 5th to 3rd this week, moving Shiocton and Darlington down one spot each. All the same teams are in the rankings this week as in Week 7, but there are some minor changes along the way.

Division 7

The voting at the top of D7 had been very close for several weeks, and former #1 Owen-Withee's shutout loss to Athens was sure to result in a new top team. In a narrow vote, Ithaca jumps over Pepin/Alma to take over the #1 position. Owen-Withee dips to 4th. Catholic Central also lost in Week 7, going from 4th to 6th after a loss to Metro Classic Conference leader Racine St. Catherine's. Similarly, Almond-Bancroft was defeated by Rosholt and moved from 5th to 9th. Cambria-Friesland, who takes on Rio this week to determine the Trailways-Small title, comes into the poll at #10.

8-Man Football

It doesn't get any better than #1 versus #2, and that's exactly what we'll get this week in 8-Man Football. Top-ranked Green Bay NEW Lutheran travels to 2nd-ranked Gibraltar in Week 9 to determine the Great-8 North title and the #1 seed in the 8-Man Jamboree. At the bottom of the rankings, Oneida Nation moves into the #10 spot this week after New Auburn dropped out.
