Sport Ngin Athlete of the Week Nominees, November 24-30

Below are the Sport Ngin Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of November 24 through 30. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

Riley Presley, Wisconsin Rapids boys basketball, scored 26 points to lead the Red Raiders to a 54-39 win over Holmen to claim the Just A Game Thanksgiving Shootout Championship. He scored 31 points in their 63-53 win over Racine Park on Friday. 

Dani Rhodes, Waukesha West girls basketball, scored 26 points to lead the Wolverines past preseason No. 1 Kimberly 64-50 at the Brookfield Central Thanksgiving Shootout. She also added 22 points in their win over two-time defending D2 champion Notre Dame, 44-33 on Saturday at the event. 

Isabella Samuels, Green Bay Preble girls basketball, helped the Hornets to wins over Janesville Parker and Sussex Hamilton at the Brookfield Central Thanksgiving Shootout. She finished with 12 points in their 47-42 win over Janesville Parker and scored 16 points in their victory against Sussex Hamilton. 

Kellen Tharaldson, Wausau West boys hockey, scored two goals to lead the Warriors past preseason No. 3 Eau Claire Memorial 3-1 and claim the Red Flint Meltdown Championship on Saturday in Eau Claire. Wausau West who entered the year ranked No. 7 in the Wisc Prep Hockey Top 10 moved into the top spot this week. 

Courtney Wittig, Bay Area girls hockey, scored 3 goals to lead the Ice Bears over University School 3-2 and capture the Gobbler Cup Championship on Saturday in Mosinee. Bay Area opened the season ranked No. 1 while USM was the second ranked team in the WisconsinPrepHockey.net rankings.
