Five players headline the WBCA Division 5 All-State Team as unanimous selections: Gena Grundhoffer of Assumption, Megan Gustafson of South Shore, Rachel Slaney of Barneveld, Kelly Tramburg of Fall River, and Hannah Whitish of Barneveld.

Gustafson, Slaney, and Whitish are making their third straight appearances on the All-State list, while Tramburg, Grundhoffer, Mariana Bautista of Heritage Christian, and Stephany Heggemeier of Owen-Withee are repeat selections from last year.

Grundhoffer has spent three seasons on varsity for Assumption, and the Royals have advanced to the WIAA Division 5 State Tournament every year. Taking on an even bigger role this year, the 6-1 junior forward averaged 21 points per game.

Gustafson re-wrote the state's record book this season, setting new records for most points in a career, points in a season, and points in a single game. She led the state in both scoring (40.3 ppg) and rebounding (18.9 rpg) for a second straight year. The 6-3 senior forward will head to Iowa next year.

Slaney has been part of three state tournament teams at Barneveld, with a championship last season. A three-time WBCA All-State choice, Slaney averaged 18.5 points per game as a senior.

Tramburg helped the Pirates to the WIAA State Tournament this year as just a junior, averaging 17.6 points and 9.2 rebounds, to go with 1.9 assists and 3 steals per game. The 5-10 junior forward took her game to the next level late in the season to help Fall River to a 24-3 record.

Whitish has been named to the WBCA All-State Team each of her first three years at Barneveld, and also made three straight state tournament appearances. The dynamic junior guard led coach Jim Myers' club with 20.9 points per game.

Bautista is a four-year varsity player for Heritage Christian, leading them this season in every major statistical category: scoring (16 ppg), rebounding (11.2 rpg), assists (7.2 apg), and steals (7.3 spg). Heritage Christian claimed the Midwest Classic Conference title once again, finishing 21-3 overall.

Heggemeier broke the school's career scoring record, and averaged better than 16 points per game as a senior. The 5-7 senior guard hit 27 points twice this year, including in a one-point win over Stanley-Boyd in a Cloverbelt Crossover game.

Morgan Horstman was a three-year First Team All-Conference selection in the Scenic Bluffs, helping Bangor to a league title this year. The senior guard averaged 17.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game for the Cardinals.

Kaylee Martin of Winter was one of the most versatile players in the state this season, averaging 22.4 points, 6 rebounds, 7 assists and 6 steals per game. The 5-6 senior guard helped the Warriors to a 16-7 overall record.

Maryssa Paulsen of Flambeau was a huge part of the team's success this year, as the Falcons were unbeaten in Lakeland-East play, finished 23-2 overall, and advanced to the Sectional Semi-Finals.
