Air National Guard Level 1 Player of the Week Nominees:
A.J. Frisby, Wilmot -- Wilmot went on the road and scored an impressive 39-6 victory over Greendale Friday night, putting up the first 39 points of the game. Frisby carried the ball 17 times for 170 yards and 5 touchdowns, with 4 of the scores coming in the first half as the Panthers built a 27-0 advantage.
Andrew Mallmann, Whitnall -- It has been a while since Whitnall's last playoff victory. In fact, you had to go all the way back to 1998. That streak is over however, as the Falcons knocked off 4th-seeded Saint Francis 21-19. Mallman was a workhorse, carrying it 41 times for 280 yards and all 3 Whitnall touchdowns.
Cory Ottum, Brookwood -- It's not often you see a 7-seed dominate a 2-seed like we saw Brookwood do to Markesan Friday night. The Falcons were in control all night, scoring a 33-0 shutout victory. Ottum ran for 135 yards and 3 touchdowns on 21 carries, as the team rolled up 329 yards rushing in the victory.
Sam Santiago-Lloyd, Brookfield East -- The Spartans were 8-1 in the regular season and finished second in the Greater Metro, but in a loaded regional grouping, received just a 5-seed, meaning a road game at Whitefish Bay. B'East never trailed in the game, going up 35-7 at one point in the third quarter before securing a 41-27 victory. Santiago-Lloyd did much of the damage, with 33 carries for 330 yards and 4 touchdowns.
Chase Wiedow, Mosinee -- Mosinee went on the road in Level 1 but built a 21-0 lead at halftime and held on for the victory over 3rd-seeded Antigo on Friday night. Wiedow rushed 25 times for 135 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.
