Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of December 14 through 20. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: December 14-20 

Kayli Brown, Living Word Lutheran girls' basketball, scored a career-high 47 points in the Timberwolves' 85-71 win over Messmer last Tuesday. She connected on 15 of 24 free throws in the victory. Brown's 47 points is tied for the best single-game scoring mark in girls' basketball this season. 

Treven Gorst, Abbotsford boys' basketball, scored a school-record 51 points, second best in the state this season, in the Falcons' 84-57 win over Athens on Friday. 

Ashley Leiterman, Denmark girls' basketball, helped the Vikings to wins over previously unbeaten Kewaunee (D4 #9) and Wrightstown (D3 #9) last week. Leiterman finished with 11 points, 7 rebounds, 2 steals and a block in their 55-53 win over Kewaunee. In Denmark's 74-69 win over Wrightstown, Leiterman totaled 19 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals and a block. 

Detario Scott, Kenosha Reuther boys' basketball, scored a school-record 52 points in their 105-72 win over Milwaukee Early View on Thursday. Detario's 52 points are the best single-game performance in the state this season. He also finished with 16 rebounds, and 12 assists in the victory. Earlier in the week, Scott scored 41 points in a 83-81 victory against Kenosha Christian Life. 

Paul Weise, Wausau West boys' hockey, shutout top-ranked Hudson on Saturday, finishing with 27 saves in the No. 4 Warriors' 3-0 win.
