Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of February 29 through March 6. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: February 29-March 6

Brennen Banks, Evansville boys basketball: Banks scored a game-high 33 points and added 5 assists in their 80-73 win over Lake Mills in a Division 3 regional final. He finished with 29 points in the Blue Devils' win over Madison Edgewood, 84-64, in a regional semi-final. 

Kari Brekke, Appleton North girls basketball: Brekke scored a game-high 18 points in the Lightnings' 56-54 win over Marshfield in a Division 1 sectional final. She led all scorers with 15 points in their 61-53 victory against Eau Claire Memorial on Thursday in a sectional semi-final. Appleton North last reached the state tournament in 2001, this is their third trip overall. 

Ben Heiligenthal, Catholic Central boys basketball: Heiligenthal finished with 37 points and 9 rebounds in the Hilltoppers' 70-64 win over Milwaukee Academy of Science in a Division 5 regional final. He scored 26 points in their 56-53 win over Sheboygan Lutheran in a regional semi-final and tallied 28 points in a 88-32 win over University Lake School/Trinity Academy in the opening round of the playoffs. 

Morgan Rachu, Marathon girls basketball: Rachu finished with 18 points, 10 rebounds and 3 steals in their 51-40 win over top-ranked Algoma in a Division 4 sectional final. She totaled 17 points, 10 rebounds, 4 steals, 2 assists and 2 blocks in the Red Raiders' 56-37 win over Neillsville in a sectional semi-final on Thursday. This is Marathon's second consecutive trip to the state tournament and sixth overall.  

Tayla Stuttley, Onalaska girls basketball: Stuttley finished with a game-high 25 points in their 59-52 victory against Hortonville in a Division 2 sectional final. She tallied 17 points in the Hilltoppers' victory over Holmen, 56-44, in a sectional semi-final. Onalaska has reached the state tournament for the first time in program history.
