Christopher Evenson of Valders boys track & field has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week for the week of May 2 through 8 after a vote on WisSports.net.

There were 3,175 votes this week with Evenson receiving 1,232 votes. Kylie Swiekatowski of De Pere girls track & field finished second with 1,046 votes. 

Evenson finished first in the discus (180-11) and shot put (50-05.25) at the Two Rivers Invite on Friday. His throw in the discus is the best in the state this season.
