Eau Claire North captures Menomonie Sprawl championship, going unbeaten at the event. Brianna Banks totaled 44 kills and 66 digs for the Huskies; she finished second in the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week voting on WisSports.net. Leader Telegram has more on the Huskies. 

Franklin won the UW-Whitewater Invite, defeating Cedarburg 25-16, 25-20 in the championship match. Brianna Merkel was selected as a PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week nominee after tallying 53 kills, 137 assists, 39 digs and 7 aces in 28 sets in the first week of the season.
