FOOTBALL
Offense

Dylan Hecker, Junior (Winneconne, Wis.), Running Back of UW-Oshkosh
Returning to action for the first time this season, Hecker set UW-Oshkosh’s tempo right from the start with his long touchdown run on the Titans’ first offensive play of their 68-7 victory over Finlandia University (Mich.) on Sept. 17. Hecker broke free less than 19 seconds into the contest and carried the football 65 yards to the end zone. He also gained 11 yards on another first-quarter carry to finish the game with 76 yards rushing in just two attempts. UW-Oshkosh ended the game with 450 yards rushing.

Defense
Iyen Ogbomoh, Junior (Olympia Fields, Ill./Rich Central), Linebacker of UW-Stout
Ogbomoh disrupted Mayville State’s offense time and again, recording 2.5 sacks for a total of 11 yards in a 23-13 victory on Sept. 17. Ogbomoh sacked Mayville’s quarterback on 3rd and 13 at the UW-Stout 42 in the first quarter, then was in on two sacks in one drive in the third quarter. He finished with five total tackles, three solo.

Special Teams
Drew Pearson, Sophomore (Wausau, Wis./West), Placekicker of UW-Stout
Pearson had a career day in a 23-13 win over Mayville State University (N.D.) on Sept. 17. He booted three field goals, all 42-yards or more. Pearson kicked what was then a career-best 44-yard field goal at 4:36 of the first period to put UW-Stout on the board. He added to that distance just before the end of the first half. After a drive stalled with a few seconds left in the half, Pearson kicked a 52-yard field goal, the first 50-plus yard field goal for the Blue Devils since the 2007 season, to tie the game at 13-13 going into intermission. Pearson scored the final points of the game, kicking a 42-yard field goal at 14:05 of the fourth quarter. Pearson also made both PAT attempts, finishing the game with 11 points. On the season, Pearson is 5-of-7 for field goals and 10-of-10 in PATs and has 25 points.
