Bloomer senior Kyra Arendt has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week for the week of March 20 through 26 after a vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 1,887 votes this week; Arendt received 752, while Lodi sophomore Rhianna Walzer finished second with 681 votes.

Arendt set two individual meet records at the Northern Badger Classic on Saturday at UW-Stout.

She won the long jump with a jump of 17 feet and 7 inches, beating the previous record of 17-01. The senior finished first in the triple jump (39-01), beating the previous record of 37-05. Arendt, a UW-Milwaukee recruit, notched the 9th best triple jump in state history on Saturday.
