Below are the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees for the week of August 21-27. Voting is open until Thursday at 4pm, so be sure to vote for who you feel is most deserving and spread the word. Users may vote once per day.

PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week Nominees: August 21-27

Megan Baier, McDonell Central girls volleyball: Baier surpassed 1,000 career kills at the Diocesan Tournament, becoming the first player in program history to reach the milestone. Megan totaled 49 kills and 31 digs in the tournament, the Macks finished in second. 

Izzy Barr, River Falls girls volleyball: Barr helped the Wildcats win the UW-Stout Sprawl for the first time in program history. Barr, a senior setter, has compiled 117 assists, 20 aces, and 17 digs through the first week of the season. River Falls defeated Clayton in championship game of the UW-Stout Sprawl. 

Gretchen Bruhn, Brookfield East girls volleyball: Bruhn led the Spartans to the St. Thomas More/Homestead Joust at Homestead. Gretchen tallied a team-high 46 kills and a .239 hitting percentage in the event. Brookfield East defeated Menomonee Falls in the championship match. 

Filip Saitis, Kenosha Christian Life boys soccer: Saitis scored 9 goals in the opening week of the season, including netting a hat trick in a 6-1 victory against Green Bay NEW Lutheran on Saturday. 

Jaden Stevenson, Sturgeon Bay boys soccer: Stevenson finished with 4 goals and an assist in the Clippers' 6-1 win over Kewaunee on Thursday. On Tuesday, Jaden tallied a goal and 2 assists in a 4-2 win over Wausau East.
