Delavan-Darien senior Jason Cano has been selected as the PlayInTheDells.com Athlete of the Week for the week of August 28 through September 3 after a vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 4,033 votes this week; Cano received 1,489 of them, while Sheboygan North's Lauren Spaulding finished second with 1,445 votes. 

Cano scored 6 goals and added 3 assists in three wins last week. He netted 4 goals and added an assist in the Comets' 8-1 win over Milwaukee Lutheran on Saturday. In a 5-1 victory against Sugar River on Tuesday, Jason scored a pair of goals. 

Cano leads the state with 37 points and is third in the state in goals with 15. 

Delavan-Darien (8-0) is ranked No. 1 in the latest WSCA Coaches Poll in Division 3.
