One of the state's premier travel team programs will have a new executive director and name beginning this fall.

The Wisconsin Shooters, headed by Eric Oleszak the past eight years, plan to partner with a new club organization in the Milwaukee area called JH1 Elite, which is part of the Jordan Hulls brand out of Indiana.

JH1 Elite will be headed by Jeremy McGlothlin, an Indiana native and high school teammate of Jordan Hulls. Hulls played at Indiana University and now is playing professionally in Germany.

McGlothlin lives in North Prairie, Wisconsin, and recently was named the new boys' basketball coach at Catholic Memorial High School in Waukesha. McGlothlin coached a 13U squad with the Wisconsin Blizzard this past spring and summer.

"It is with great pleasure that I can officially announce Wisconsin Shooters Basketball and JH1 Elite have entered into a partnership, handing over all boys travel-team responsibilities to JH1 Elite," Oleszak said. "By handing over all boys travel team responsibilities to JH1 Elite, this undoubtedly will give myself more time for my growing family and my career."

The Wisconsin Shooters sponsored teams at the 10U through 17U levels in 2018, and McGlothlin plans to have teams at the same age levels for 2019.

"We want to give the boys the opportunity to develop their skills on the court while getting families involved in our program from the fourth grade on up," McGlothlin said. "We will take a year-round approach with training sessions provided by two of our coaches, Taylor Jannsen and Andy Monfre. We will strive to play basketball the right way in terms of fundamentals and breaking the game down to the little things."

JH1 Elite will compete on the Adidas Gauntlet circuit in 2019 and has deep ties to Adidas since Hulls' father, J.C. Hull, runs the entire Gauntlet series for the shoe apparel company.

McGlothlin anticipates competing with his high school-age teams next spring and summer on the Adidas Silver Gauntlet series with the ultimate goal of advancing to the prestigious Adidas Gold Gauntlet circuit.

"Hopefully, we can do well enough to get to the Gold Gauntlet series at some point," he said.

The opportunity for athletes in the JH1 Elite program to train for 12 months of the year, if they so desire, is one of the things that stood out the most to Oleszak in announcing the partnership.

"Two things that me about JH1 Elite's vision included their year-round training approach and the Adidas sponsorship opportunity," Oleszak said. "I'm excited to watch JH1 Elite grow over the coming years.

"We also would like to allow our current staff opportunities with JH1 Elite and are in the middle of discussions. We would like to get those set before tryouts are offered in September."

Recent alumni of the Wisconsin Shooters program who have gone on to play at the NCAA Division I level include Paul Miller of North Dakota State, Grant Basile of Wright State, Derek Sabin at Belmont and Joe Sherburne at Baltimore-Maryland County.
