As part of the weekly preview I produce every Thursday showcasing the best games from around the state, I always highlight one contest as the Game of the Week. To expand on that, each week I'll post a poll where you -- the fans -- can vote for who you think will win the Game of the Week.

Week 4 Game of the Week: Muskego (3-0, 2-0; D1 #3) at Catholic Memorial (3-0, 2-0; D3 #1) -- Friday, 7 pm

We're just three weeks into the high school football season, but these are the only remaining unbeaten teams in Classic Eight Conference play. Certainly, this is a huge game, with Muskego entering ranked third in Division 1, while Catholic Memorial is on top of the Division 3 Coaches Poll. The teams met last year, and Muskego cruised to a 28-6 lead, as CMH didn't score until the final play of the game. The Muskego defense picked off now-graduated Catholic Memorial quarterback Ben Nimz twice and limited the Crusaders to just 75 rushing yards on 31 carries, including 30 yards on 20 carries for All-Conference running back Tate Kopulos, who is back this season. Meanwhile, Muskego's powerful running game averaged 6.8 yards per carry and ground down the Crusaders. Muskego's running game is just as good this season, averaging 387.7 yards per game, second in the state. There is a long, long ways to go in the challenging Classic Eight schedule, and both teams have their eyes on even bigger prizes in the playoffs, but this one gives the victor a leg up in the league race.
