Dylan Schmitt of Horicon/Hustisford has been selected as the Week 6 Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. His big day helped the team end Markesna's lengthy conference winning streak. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 6. A total of 5,160 votes were cast, as Schmitt's 1,609 were enough to edge second place Andrew Barnes of Cumberland, who tallied 1,314 votes.

Horicon/Hustisford ended Markesan's 22-game conference winning streak in a big way, putting a running clock on the Hornets in a 40-2 victory. Schmitt accounted for five of the team's touchdowns, throwing three of them and rushing for two. He completed 12-of-15 passes for 170 yards, adding 50 yards on 12 carries on the ground.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named WisSports.net Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Week 7 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
