AAA Level 2 Player of the Week Nominees:

Leo Chenal, Grantsburg - Grantsburg senior Leo Chenal will head off to play for the Wisconsin Badgers next year, but before he does that, he has his sights set on leading the Pirates to Camp Randall Stadium. In a rematch with Lakeland-North rival Unity in Level 2, he made sure the team's playoff run continued, carrying the ball 23 times for 336 yards and six touchdowns. He also tied for the team-lead with 11 tackles as Grantsburg dominated 51-13.

Bryce Edwards, Sparta - As a number seven seed, Sparta is the lowest-seeded team still remaining in the WIAA playoffs, and Edwards helped ensure the Spartans stayed alive in a 33-14 road win over New Richmond. He rushed 17 times for 291 yards and two touchdowns, adding 10 tackles, a sack, and two pass break-ups as the Spartans rushed for more than 500 yards as a team and limited New Richmond to just 30 rushing yards.

Dylan Hendricks, Pulaski - Pulaski and River Falls went toe-to-toe on Friday in a battle of two outstanding Division 2 squads. Pulaski got some big stops and turnovers in the second half, and won it when Hendricks went in from two yards out with less than two minutes remaining to lift the Red Raiders to a 27-21 victory. Hendricks finished with 45 carries for 308 yards and three touchdowns, adding 108 yards and a touchdown through the air as the team's single wing quarterback. With the big performance he moved into fourth place on the state's career rushing yards list.

Drew Hennessey, Highland - The Cardinals beat Ithaca during the regular season and did so in even more dominating fashion in the playoffs. Hennessey score three first half rushing touchdowns and added another score on the ground plus one receiving in the second half. He finished with 12 carries for 201 yards and four touchdowns, a seven-yard touchdown catch, six tackles, and handled the punting and extra points for the Cardinals.

Jaden Johnson, Edgerton - Edgerton scored five touchdowns in knocking off defending Division 4 state champion Lodi 35-14, and Johnson had a hand in all of them. He ran for a score and threw a touchdown as the Crimson Tide built a 14-7 halftime advantage, then helped the team bust into the clear with a pair of rushing scores in the third quarter. Johnson finished with 27 carries for 149 yards and three touchdowns on the ground, completing 13-of-15 passes for 143 yards and two more touchdowns.
