UW-Fox Valley captured the championship at the recent Wisconsin Collegiate Conference soccer tournament, the second straight league tourney crown for the Cyclones.
Fox Valley defeated UW-Rock 2-1 in the championship match. The Cyclones received a first round bye in the league tournament, before dispatching UW-Marathon 5-3 in the semi-finals. On the other side, Fond du Lac also earned a bye, but the Falcons were knocked off by UW-Rock, 4-3 in a semi-final.
UW-Fond du Lac won the regular season title, finishing a perfect 6-0.
The Wisconsin Collegiate Conference also announced its postseason awards for the 2018 season.
League regular season champion Fond du Lac had three players on the first team list: Azi Onama, C.J. Hafeman, and Alex Amaro. A trio of players from tournament champion Fox Valley were honored on the first team as well: Alex Cervantes, James Erickson, and Jose Munguia.
UW-Marathon's Alex Pagel was named the league's Offensive Player of the Year. Cesar Aceves of UW-Rock took home Defensive Player of the Year recognition.
Coach of the Year honors went to Rock's Joshua Kammeraad, while UW-Marathon took home the Team Sportsmanship Award.
