Milwaukee Academy of Science senior Beautiful Waheed has been selected as the Hometown Ticketing Athlete of the Week for the week of February 20-26 after a statewide vote on WisSports.net. 

There were 11,111 total votes this week. Waheed topped all vote getters with 3,900 votes. Kewaskum's Braeden Scoles came in second with 3,834 votes.

Waheed was phenomenal as Milwaukee Academy of Science captured a regional title this past weekend. First in a 75-54 win over Catholic Memorial in the semi-finals, the senior guard had 22 points, 17 rebounds and six assists. Waheed then had 31 points, 22 rebounds and six assists in a 93-67 win over Brown Deer in the regional championship game.

Milwaukee Academy of Science and Waheed will take on Dominican in the sectional semi-finals tonight, March 2nd at Brown Deer High School.
