The Tomah Timberwolves have been selected as the Week 9 WSN Football Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WSN. The team took down league-leading Onalaska to clinch a playoff spot. The Timberwolves were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 9. A total of 4,285 votes were cast, as Tomah's 1,381 votes edged Marshfield's 908 votes.

Tomah started Mississippi Valley Conference play 0-4, but the Timberwolves rattled off three straight wins, including a 38-13 win over league-leading Onalaska to qualify for the playoffs. Tomah pulled away in the second half with three touchdowns, two by senior running back Logan Rufledt, who carried it 45 times for 297 yards and three touchdowns. Jackson Steffel also hit Eli Brown for a pair of touchdowns in the game.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite team can be named WSN Team of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Level 1 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
