The Reedsburg Beavers have been selected as the Week 5 WSN Team of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. The team handed Waunakee its first home loss in 15 years to stay unbeaten in the Badger-North. The Beavers were chosen from a strong group of nominees in Week 5. A total of 8559 votes were cast, as Reedsburg's 3692 votes narrowly edged out the 3400 of Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau.
 
The Beavers not only ended Waunakee's 15-year, 93-game home field winning streak, they did so in dominating fashion. Reedsburg's defense held Waunakee to just 6 total yards and no first downs in the first half as they bottled up running back Troy Laufenberg and kept the passing game in check. For the game, Waunakee finished with 134 total yards and just 4 first downs. Lucas Muchow ran 15 times for 192 yards and two 70+ touchdowns for the Beavers, who also got 94 yards from Dylan Peterson with 364 rushing yards as a team on 56 carries.
