Jack Risch of Arrowhead has been selected as the Level 2 Air National Guard Player of the Week following a statewide vote on WisSports.net. The team's back-up quarterback, he stepped in and led them to a win over Sun Prairie. He was chosen from a strong group of nominees in Level 2. A total of 3,208 votes were cast, as Risch's 1,315 were enough to edge second place Chris Pouliot of Luck, who tallied 796.

Risch would be a starter and outstanding player at many places, but behind D1 senior Johnny Duranso, his opportunities are limited. With Duranso out to injury, Risch has been asked to step in and be the man. He sure was Friday night in a 41-0 blanketing of Sun Prairie, completing 19 of 26 passes for 255 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Remember folks, the only way your favorite player can be named Air National Guard Player of the Week is to vote and share the word. Look for the Level 3 nominees to be posted Monday afternoon.
