Milwaukee Washington's Te'Jon Lucas has been selected as the top senior Point Guard as part of the WSN Senior Boys Basketball Awards.

Despite suffering a season-ending broken leg during a non-conference victory over Champaign, Ill., Central in early February, Lucas remains on this list thanks to the stellar season he turned in during the first 18 games of the season.

The University of Illinois recruit averaged 20.5 ppg, 8.1 apg and 5.4 rpg while helping the Purgolders to a 14-4 record. Washington is playing well in Lucas' absence, but the floor general is still a big component of the team and program with his vocal support and encouragement.

Lucas shared Player of the Year honors in the Milwaukee City Conference with Milwaukee Riverside junior Terrence Lewis.

Finalists for the award were Lucas, Eau Claire Memorial's Isaac Appleby, Brookfield Academy's Ryan Clarey, Germantown's Juwan McCloud, and Muskego's Caleb Wagner.

Past winners of the award include Darrel Riley of Milwaukee North (2015), Riley LaChance of Brookfield Central (2014), Duane Wilson of Dominican (2013), and Carrlington Love of Pius XI (2012).

WSN Senior Basketball Awards are selected by WisSports.net staff.
