Dominican's Kostas Antetokounmpo has been selected as the top senior Post player as part of the WSN Senior Boys Basketball Awards.
No player in Wisconsin has more awe-inspiring blocks this season than Antetokounmpo, who seemingly comes out of nowhere to swat shots with his impressive jumping ability and length. Once he gets a few blocked shots in a game, opponents think twice about taking the ball to the hoop when he's on the floor.
The younger brother of Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kostas is averaging 13.0 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.2 blocked shots per game for Dominican, which is 25-1 under coach Derek Berger entering the state tournament
Finalists for the award were Antetokounmpo, Seneca's Kilian Boland, Germantown's Max Keefe, Marathon's Xavier Leichleitner, and Lake Mills' Collin Moen.
Past winners of the award include Dwayne Lawhorn, Jr. of Germantown (2015), Jordan Shea of Lodi (2014), Bronson Koenig of Aquinas (2013), and Zak Showalter of Germantown (2012).
