La Crosse Central's Kobe King has been selected as the top senior Wing as part of the WSN Senior Boys Basketball Awards.

One of the better offensive rebounders in Wisconsin prep basketball history, King has scored more than 1,900 points for the Red Raiders the past four seasons. The University of Wisconsin recruit is averaging 26.9 points, 9.0 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 2.1 steals per game for coach Todd Fergot and the top-ranked Red Raiders.

He can score in a variety of ways and is perhaps the most athletic player among all high school players in Wisconsin. Just do a YouTube search to see some of the posterizing dunks he's had this season.

King had 49 points against future Badgers teammate Nathan Reuvers of Lakeville North (MN) at the Border Battle in January, and scored 41 in a Sectional Final win over Wausau East.

The Red Raiders are head to the state tournament for a second straight season, and the Kohl Center is sure to be abuzz as Badgers fans get a look at their future star.

Finalists for the award were King, Alex Arians of Madison Edgewood, Tyree Eady of Middleton, Alec Fruin of Beloit Turner, and Koreem Ozier of Racine Case.

Past winners of the award include Stevens Point's Sam Hauser (2016), Rice Lake's Henry Ellenson (2015), Kevon Looney of Milwaukee Hamilton (2014), Nick Fuller of Sun Prairie (2013), and Sam Dekker of Sheboygan Lutheran (2012).

WSN Senior Basketball Awards are selected by WisSports.net staff.
